Visual Diff
Compare original and optimized images side by side
This is a Pro feature. Activate your license to use it.
Visual Diff lets you compare the original and optimized versions of an image to verify that compression quality meets your standards.
Comparison Modes
- Side by side — Original and optimized displayed next to each other
- Slider — Drag a slider across the image to reveal original vs optimized
- Overlay — Toggle between the two versions in place
Zoom Levels
Zoom in at 1x, 2x, or 4x to inspect fine details. This is especially useful for checking whether aggressive compression has introduced visible artifacts.
File Size Overlay
The comparison view shows the file size of both versions and the savings percentage, so you can see exactly how much was gained.
Accessing Visual Diff
You can open the Visual Diff from two places:
- Media Library — Click the Compare button on any optimized image in the attachment details panel
- Bulk Optimization — Click the compare icon next to any processed image
Quick Restore
If you're not happy with the optimization result, click Restore directly from the Visual Diff view to revert to the original without leaving the comparison screen.
